12 - 14 NOVEMBER 2026 - MEDELLIN, COLOMBIA
KEYNOTE SPEAKER
LILIANA GONZÁLEZ PALACIO is a Systems Engineer with a Master’s and Ph.D. in Engineering from Universidad de Antioquia, Colombia. She is a professor and researcher at Universidad EAFIT, where she works in software engineering, information systems, gamification, assistive technology, and inclusive innovation. Her research focuses on the design and development of technology-based solutions that promote participation and accessibility for people with disabilities. She has led interdisciplinary research and innovation projects involving co-creation with users and communities. Among her most notable initiatives is Jaguar Adventures, an inclusive educational serious game that uses sound, immersive interaction, and accessible design to enable people with visual impairments to explore and learn about Colombia’s natural parks. The game takes players through ecosystems including Parque Arví, Vía Parque Isla Salamanca, and Farallones de Cali, combining biodiversity education, sustainability, and digital accessibility. Her work seeks to demonstrate how technology, gamification, and human-centered design can contribute to more inclusive educational and recreational experiences. She has also conducted research on accessibility in learning management systems and autonomous orientation for people with visual impairments. Through her academic and research activities, she promotes the development of technology with social impact and greater inclusion.
